I feel longing in my heart, beating as a bird beats its wings against its cage
Are they gone then, my dreams, are they dead to me?
If so, a part of my soul, a part of my ME has surely been lost with my dreams
I have lived so long with them, my dreams, chasing them as a child chases a dandelion puff dancing on the wind, so close but always just out of reach

Can they be gone?
I now stand upon a cusp, awaiting the decision that is only mine to make
I cannot hesitate, no I will not wait
I will take a deep breath then upon exhalation will take the fall
For who am I to let dreams die?
