Did the "Amityville Horror" really occur?

The Amityville "Horror" did not happen. The Lutzs' fabricated the "paranormal and supernatural" occurrences stemming from a tragic event. How low can a couple sink when that have to make up a story, in which a whole family was murdered just to turn a profit? Just ask the Lutz couple.

Everyone knows that the Lutz Family were in financial ruins because they sunk so much money into the house and could not pay their bills. Yes, they received that house for a low price; but what couple in their right mind would not want to know why the price was so low, keeping in mind the year in which it was purchased.

They say, "We had no idea what happened in that house." Of course, they did. it's called neighborhood talk and town talk not to mention it was the biggest event in the town's history. No matter where they went someone had to say or mention something to them such as, "How can you live in that house after what happened?" Someone in their right mind would not just blow it off or pass up the opportunity to hear what they have to say.

Plus, having kids it's possible that they heard the story from classmates because they could tell them that they live in a "haunted" house. They had to mention something about it or say, "I or we heard....."

Was the newspaper too difficult in pulling up or going to the police department and get the records since it was public knowledge. Did they not watch television. The case was all over the news.

Were the Lutzs' that igorant or just completely stupid along with being lazy? No! They were none of the above because if they were we would not be debating on whether or not The Amityville Horror was true or not.

By researching the case, supernatural cases, paranormal cases, coaching you kids, coming up with "strange and deadly events" a mind or two can think of and meduims/psychics you can definitely come up with the perfect money making scam.

Bravo to the Lutz Family.

I think my favorite part is when George Lutz said that in the basement was "the doorway to Hell" behind a brick wall (giggles). How come one else has mention the hellish brick wall before or now since someone else is living there. The killer never mentioned anything about the hellish brick wall in any interview. All he ever said was, "The voices made me do it." Then recanted the statement.

George Lutz knew that people would want to know everything about what he witnessed because most people have their own idea about Hell. That was George Lutz's way of making the story
