associated with a severe influenza infection are significantly greater than the risk of this potential side effect for most people in the general population.
The vaccine for measles, mumps, rubella (known as an MMR vaccine) and hepatitis B have similar side effect profiles. The most common is soreness at the site of the injection, and a mild fever which can last for a couple of days. MMR can cause a mild rash, or swelling in the cheeks and neck. In rare cases it could cause a seizure if the fever is too high. Some people were report stiff joints for a couple of days after the injection.
It is not possible in the small space to outline every potential side effect for every vaccine available today. As such, you should speak with your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist for specific details on the potential side effects of any vaccine you are interested in. An overwhelming majority of vaccines have relatively mild side effects were most people. There are however some risks associated, and it is important to understand them before you are vaccinated.
On a final note, I would like to mention that there is no association between childhood vaccinations and the development of autism. This is a controversial issue. Scientists throughout the world have searched in great detail for an association between vaccinations and the development of autism, and no definitive links have been found.
There is simply no evidence to support a cause and effect association. Furthermore, the chemical in the childhood vaccination, thiomersol, which is claimed to be responsible for the problem, is NO LONGER USED in any vaccines given to children - and it hasn't been for some time.
