Blurry shards of accusation
fall near to where I kneel
a slave
waiting for more sugar coated poison
Haloed outlines in colored glass stand over me
watching
sneering with contempt
Oblivious to my worn clothes
stringy hair
mad expression
I quickly perform all duties demanded of me
and greedily inject my sparkling obsession
Shattered rainbows
Euphoria
Unsteady on my bare feet
throat dry and coated with film
thoughts jagged and incomplete
"more..."
I manage
as the fire dims
and shadows re-emerge
"more..."
I repeat
louder
irrational
begging
Icy shivers flow freely
pulsating in my head
behind my eyes
in the pit of my stomach
sweat
gleaming
cooling
that's what is making me shiver
I say aloud
that's all
"more..."
quickly now
sneers fade
eyes flick back and forth
murmurs
I grasp my hands
staring at the floor
rocking
moaning
trying to control my breathing
trying to stay calm
Gonna fade away again
they whisper
cold hands try to raise me
"don't care....more..."
Gonna fade away again
the voices repeat
dark forms barely visible
or is there anyone there
am I alone
I can't remember
"More..."
Breath sharp
thick
catches in my throat
I fall forward
brace myself with my hands
fingers bent
claw-like
nails broken
uneven
dirty
bleeding.
