My hearts clings to those moments
My soul clings to them
I ask myself why?
Why is it that a kiss lingers on in my mind
Months after you've had it?
More annoying is that you refuse to accept the person
Why is it that sometimes
I don't want to talk to anybody
I just fell like being at peace with myself
Why is it that he doesn't understand
your desire to just have him beside
Without wanting nothing more
Why is it that sometimes
I wish my thoughts were reality
Some other times I pray they never come to existence
Why is it that sometimes
we make promises
That we know we will
never fulfill.
Why is it that you fail to understand
What I want
What I need and
What I desire.

With hopes of actually sleeping
Fight and fight, I'm up all night
Just sitting around thinking
