As I walk beside you, you comfort me
You make sure that I do not trip or fall
Like a daughter, I can tell you anything
And you'll listen and offer your precious advice
When I feel like falling, you hold me up
When I cry, you wipe my tears
When the weight is too much, you carry it for me
You carry me as well
When the earth is cold and frigid, you hand me a warm blanket
When I feel alone, you show me that I am not
