What do we usually see when we open our television? When we watch movies? War, conflict, racial discrimination, murder, and a lot other violent scenes. All of these are portrayed for the sake of entertainment. For some, they are based on reality, an eye opener. But for others, they are a good example of what our society have become, and what we can do about it to resolve such issues and cases.
True, some of those films are a good portrayal of what is happening around us. But there are parts/scenes which should never be applied or be done in real life. People with closed minds are the ones who usually would consider those unreal resolutions as effective ones. You might see in a movie that in order to earn justice, revenge should be done. That is not the case in real life. We have our laws to take care of those kind of stuff. We can't just kill anyone for whatever reason we have no matter how justifiable that might be, because it is never right.
Most of the people now, especially kids, spend most of their time watching television or playing violent computer games. Media entertainment has greatly affected the way people think nowadays. Subconsciously, what we do not know is that we have started to consider what we constantly see on television as normal, especially on the part of our kids. They would start thinking that it is just right to be violent or to kill as long as you are doing it for justice's sake. This is due to the fact that our kids have a very wide imagination; it is beyond limits. We have to properly guide them as to what is right and what is the real situation in life. Constant parental guidance is still necessary for us to be sure that our kids are going the right way.
I can only imagine the lives of our ancestors. Technology isn't that advanced yet. They don't get to spend most of their time watching television, rather they spend it with their families doing things that are beneficial for all. Watching television, rather they spend it with their families doing things that are beneficial for all. Their lives are less complicated. Less crimes are happening around them. Their children are more inclined on reading or into other educational stuff. Yes, technology is very important, it has become a part of us; some can even say that we will never be able to live without it. But we have to bear in mind that technology should be used accordingly. It is there for a specific purpose. We should learn to use it for good and for the benefit of all human kind.
