Are Americans 'dumb'? Not near as 'dumb' as that question! Let's get real about it, America is not 'dumb'; America is just flat out 'lazy and naive'! No one wants to have anything to do with physical labor, whether it be work related labor or just standing up for our basic beliefs and values, America is Lazy! America is gullable! We want change in our government, but we are not willing to demand it. Yes, America is very naive, trusting that the elected officials will help protect our rights, moral and ethical values; but naive isn't 'dumb' it's misplaced trust. Being taken advantage of by the very ones sworn to protect us isn't 'dumb', it is called being SCREWED!
From corporate CEO's to Senators making their promises they never intend to keep; like how they will look out for the little man! Yeah, so they can be sure and step on us! They drain the value of our 401k's in order to pocket billions themselves, all the while hanging the American citizen out to dry and holding the bill for it all as well.
America is not dumb, America is just hungry for reform and real change of heart in Washington D.C. So hungry that we are willing to take a chance on any change! So hungry we will believe any promise! Even the promises we know can't be kept. Why should our grandchildren and great grandchildren cover the billion dollar blunders of government and corporate America? Because we are hungry for something more "American".
We naively allow those in high authority to swindle away our hard earned dollars and our hopes all in the same breath. From bailouts to buy outs, the nationalization of corporate America is the future catastrophe for generations to come. Not 'dumb just 'hungry'!
For way too long, the government of the United States of America and the main stream media sources, have considered we the people to be 'dumb' not "FREE". America has to be willing to stand up for herself and take pride in what we can accomplish just by taking action. If America were to stand up for herself and for her freedom and become aware of the present dangers to our democracy and to our very freedom; so cherished and paid in full, we could see real change and live the dream of our forefathers.
Where is the America of our childhood recollections, when we were not too lazy to stand up for what is right and never to be fooled by that which is wrong? Where is the line they must cross before we 'dumb' Americans decide, ENOUGH is ENOUGH? Whenever America begins to believe in what our grandfathers and their fathers fought and died to preserve, America: Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, America will once again shine brighter than any and stand above the rest. For freedom, for America. May God bless! Not 'dumb, just HUNGRY!
