What is the best fast food burger? It is all a matter of personal taste. With so many different fast food options even the pickiest person can find their favorite burger. My personal choice is the White Castle burger. These mini delights with the chopped onion and pickle slice are a treat that I indulge in every few months.Growing up it was a favorite late night stop and for little money you could satisfy your craving.Even though these burgers and the cheeseburgers are now available in your grocery store freezer aisle, to me there is nothing better than picking up a crave case and trying to drive home without the temptation of eating "just one". The aroma fills your car and even though the local White Castle is only about 6 miles away,it is a huge challenge to not grab one on the way.I limit myself to these tasty treats by only getting them a few times a year.It makes the enjoyment of this guilty pleasure even better.
For those who like a heartier burger,Wendy's is the place to go.There burgers are made with ground beef that is fresh, never frozen.I can attest to this fact as I worked in a mall Wendy's as a teen.Their square burgers are fried on the grill and the single comes loaded with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and catsup.Wendy's has a double and a triple burger all with the option of cheese. You can request your burger with extras or without pickles with no hassles involved. They taste like a real homemade burger.
Around here the first two fast food burger places were Mcdonald's and Burger King. Mcdonald's fries its burgers on a grill whereas BurgerKing uses a grilling "machine".Frozen burgers are placed in one end and go through the cooking process on a conveyor belt. When the burger gets to the end an employee removes the burger with tongs and makes the sandwich to order. The Whopper is one of BK's specialty burgers and is topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and catsup.BK offers the customer to have it your way and special orders are not a problem. In recent years they have added more specialty burgers with a variety of tastes to tempt any burger lover.Mcdonald's has the big mac, which boasts two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.I know this jingle from the commercials and never have I eaten a Mcdonald's burger.Mcdonald's and Burger King both offer a burger that comes with pickles and catsup.Mcdonald's adds mustard to their burger which is a matter of personal taste.
Not being a huge beef eater,White Castle has always satisfied my craving for the taste of a burger without the heaviness you can feel from eating one of the larger burgers like the other chains offer. The "best" is a matter of personal taste.Although there are people who are reading this and agreeing with me about the Castle, there are enough who feel strongly about burgers that the competitors offer.Variety and different tastes is what keeps all these chains alive.
