For well over 30 years, Virginia Beach Farmer's Market has been providing fresh local produce to the public. Located 3640 Dam Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Farmer's Market produces a plethora of goods for one and all. Children will be happy to know that the market has a candy store offering all sort of treats. The market offers a host of features such as a butcher shop, dairy store, plants, an organic grocer, specialty home and garden gifts, a great restaurant (which open at 7am ) and specialty backyard garden feeders. Open all year round, with most vendors opening at 10am and closing at 5pm on Monday-Saturday and noon -4pm Sundays.

With a host of special events occurring each month from April through to December, Virginia Beach Farmer's Market is not your average marketplace. Enjoy some live, authentic toe tapping country or bluegrass music, on Friday nights from May right through to October. Bring a blanket or chair and get ready to shake your booty. Local bands entertain the public every 3rd Saturday night. The Virginia Beach Farmer's Market even has Classic Car Cruise Ins, from April through to December which is free to the public. These start at 5pm and finish at 10pm. Come admire some awesome street machines, take your prepubescent teenage son and he'll be in seventh heaven.

Virginia Beach is home to a host of great attractions, picturesque scenic delights, history, culture, pristine sand, fun in the sun and the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market. Yes, you've seen markets before, but the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market is totally different to the norm. Fun, exciting and filled to the very brim with a myriad of things to see, purchase and enjoy, why go anywhere else? Here you can purchase just about everything except the kitchen sink!

The Virginia Beach Farmer's Market is home to a huge range of merchants who are agriculturally focused. Purchase seasonal, fresh vegetables, fruit and a medley of other products. The farmer-to-you- seasonal products, ensures that you are getting products which are fresh and much cheaper than you would normally pay elsewhere. This is the best of the best in lieu of agricultural merchandise. Meander over to Vendor's Lane and browse for something special, take a look at the unique items the handmade crafters make daily or view what the agriculture vendors have to offer.

The market even has educational programs specifically designed for students. These can be arranged at 757-385-4395. The programs run from March through to May as well as September through to November (weather permitting of course.) Kids will enjoy the hands-on experiences which aids in their understanding of agriculture and rural heritage. The fee is just $3 per child and these are highly recommended for children in K-2 grades.

There are a host of picnic tables available all around the market grounds and plenty of bus parking. Yes, there are plenty of rest rooms and public phones are available if needed, there's even a water fountain. The Organic market at the rear of the market place is the best find of them all. There's more fresh produce than you could ever imagine. Most of this is locally grown and priced well. It's a non commercialized and the staff are so cheerful and helpful, truly taking an interest in their customers.

Virginia Beach Farmer's Market allows local farmers to sell their peaches, blackberries, tomatoes, strawberries, cantaloupes and assorted crops to the public. Enjoy the picturesque wooded park. See, the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market is not your everyday run of the mill market, it's totally unique! See you there soon?
