the mind is the key, which is why it is of the utmost importance to keep it as unaltered as possible.
Many of the earliest scriptures, religious or not, have said the Kingdom of God is within you and outside of you. Today so many distractions are with us almost every moment, yet it is possible to alleviate distraction for a time each day, depending on how conscious we are, or are not. With the Kingdom of God within us and outside of us, we are already in what can be called heaven on earth. We only leave this state of being if we become enlightened to the extent of joining the Universal Consciousness, or God Consciousness, or as Christianity at times calls it self realization. In other words if we become enlightened we no longer ever live in a physical body.
Enlightenment is not easily achieved, as most of us go from one body to the next, at times repeating the same mistakes from the past, as in perfection runs from us. Yoga can help eliminate some of this imperfection, though it may take many lifetimes for most of us, though perhaps with people like Jesus and some of the other prophets and masters from the past we ought to know it is possible to achieve. Problem is it is hard. Life is hard. Easy only comes after the realization of the definition of hard. Here again is where Yoga can help. Discipline and will are the only necessities, as mentioned earlier, although truth, love, peace, joy and faith are required in order to eliminate all the outside delusional illusions which seem to incessantly drive the majority of the population.
Reality is though that it is the minority of the population that is delusional, because with today's technology, as in the media we only see a minute amount of the truth in a sea of lies, and it is those lies which hide the true Kingdom of Heaven from the minority and why they fight so stringently to avoid the truth and reality of life and the joy of Heaven on Earth.
Near is the time of truth, and the truth will set you free.
