Poetry: Fantasy humor

by Charles Ray

Created on: June 15, 2009

I think that I shall never be

As strong and regal as a tree.

With all the baggage that I carry

Perhaps I am just a fairy.

When I think aboult myself

I have the aspect of an elf.

But, then I walk into the light

And find that I'm a water sprite.

Which poses a problem quite profound,

As there's not a drop of water around.

Oh no, I lost my magic hat,

And turned into a vampire bat.
