Is it possible to make a million in a year? You may think only very successful businessmen who are already millionaires can make a million in a year, but you are very wrong indeed. Online there are many thousands of freelance opportunities for those who are willing to get rich and make a million. There are many steps you can take to ensure you follow your correct career path which will help you achieve this one million dollars in just one year, but where do you start?

Firstly you have to decide what you are going to work at. There is no point in being a freelance writer if you despise writing. However if you are one of those people who cannot leave a pen down then freelance writing opportunities are the way to go. You can write to individual clients and charge a high fee depending on the article length and amount of research needed. Magazine writing is highly profitable. Alternatively you can write your own ebooks and sell them online. Budding photographers can sell their photographs to websites or charge money each time someone downloads one of their pictures. If you are creative why not set up your own jewellery business. Those that are great with html and design can be graphic designers and build websites for businesses. Website programming is in big demand and some clients will pay tens of thousands to have an html script designed to their liking. Imagine getting paid $20k for each website, you would only need to design 50 a year to make a million. Affiliate marketing is another profitable business if conducted properly. If you find a hot product and market it effectively you will make money in your sleep.

Secondly you need to know where to look for the opportunities. Many freelancers struggle to find high paying jobs and end up limiting themselves to lower paying jobs which do not have much competition. The best place to find high paying jobs are the online job sites. Initially you may have to build up your positive feedback and reputuation but when you ahve done so you will have a better chance of getting high paid jobs. Elance in particular is a great place to find specific jobs, and they send out an email every week detailing the high paid jobs in your specific area. I have subscribed to the writing and translation jobs and I have seen some jobs offering as much as $20k for specific jobs. When you start doing quality work for clients you will find yourself getting offered more and more. You can then set your price higher. Some freelance writers are paid a few hundred dollars for 400 word articles.

Thirdly trial and error. You may decide you want to sell photographs online only to find there is no interest in your photography. This signals it is time to move on to another niche or else review your photography skills. When you do start earning some money in your particular area review the things that are making you the most money and focus on them, and expand them if you can.

Finally stay confident. It is important to remember that it is possible to make a million in a year, You just have to be patient and not take criticism too badly. If you are criticised see it as an opportunity to learn from it and develop your skills.

Nowadays it is very plausible to earn a million and even more than a million from the freelance jobs offered online. The hardest things are staying positive and finding work which suits you.
