“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath revealed it to them. For the invisible things of Him from the beginning of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God; neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man…” “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen” (Rom 1:18-23,25) For all have sinned, even come short of the glory of God.” (Rom 3:23)

Sin is lawlessness (John 3:4) from the man of lawlessness (2 Thess 2:3,4) (The Greek word for lawlessness is the same in both verses). We are given over to corruption because we suppress the truth of God in our minds. In other words, the result of being
