A fountain of images
in the twilight hour.
And I lie in bed and wonder
Of the 'what ifs' and 'what nots',
The 'maybes', 'buts' and 'oh if onlys'.

And acceptance lingers
In the distance somewhere,

But the night is long and lonely,
And the memories turned sour,
And optimism cannot breathe
Throughout the twilight hour.

But I see through it
