MIsplaced Steps
For every carefully placed step that I take
Arises the possiblity that Ive made a mistake
Most from my past that Ive kept at bay
But now affect the steps I take today
People Ive harmed by my greedy selfish attitude
I must humbly ask forgiveness with grace and gratitude
I am ashamed of the casualties left in the wake of my past
They tried to catch me but I fell to far to fast
My next step is towards forgiveness by making direct amends
And I pray that by tomorrow my insanity ends
