A breath caught on the barbed wire of discontent
snagged into shards of dispassionate fury.
Flames of discomfort lapping the inner devil
with empty promises of the warmth of love.
Dancing, soullessly, in and around places
where angels fear to tread.
Searching, eternally, for the end.
