Recipes: Meatloaf

All meatloaves start off with the same basic ingredient,meats; vegetables,egg,and a hold together ingredient.Being served meatloaf throughout my childhood . I've become quite the expert .After eating a vegan diet for 20 years making a meatloaf was the hardest thing ever. Now ,meatloaves are enjoyable to make.This is an old recipe bring into the 21st century.This meatloaf can be served for dinner or cold in a sandwiches. How ever you prefer. Hope you enjoy it.

2 1/2 pounds of ground meat this recipe requires a pound and a half of grounded chicken.and a grounded beef.

1 large red onion diced, (red onions have a more sweeter taste than your yellow or white onion)

1 red bell pepper diced

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

1/2 teaspoon of ginger

2 eggs well beaten

1/2 cup fine oats.( any brand not old fashion steel oat)

1/2 cup of barbecue sauce

get ready for this 1/4 cup of beer(the beer tenderizes the meat as it cooks)

1/2 cup of olive oil ( we love the hot and spicy)

Now with and ingredients placed in a large bowl except the oil,mix well . Once everything is mixed together add the oil and mix.Form into a loaf, this recipe make two loaves. Place in well greased pan. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly. You can activate your creative senses at this point brown gravy or red, even plain this meatloaf is delicious any way it served.Remember for quick easy and delicious dish. That can be prepared/ any day of the week for a breakfast treat,a fast lunch or elegant dinner. This meatloaf recipe is the way to go.
