God understands

I know God understands. I try to live by His commands.

If by chance I lose my way. He'll be listening when I pray.

"Lord you know I've tried so hard. My heart is faint and soul is scarred.

Make my path go straight to you. You understand what I've been through."

The heavens opened He heard me pray. He said, "I'll be with you all the way.

I'll take your heart and will refresh. I understand your only flesh.

I know what your going through. I'll take your soul and make it new.

Lay your head upon my breast. Under my wings you'll find rest."

His wings opened and I was drawn. Where all my worry and fear was gone.

Down the path we made our way. Carrying me since I prayed that day.

Now our journeys almost through. Soon we'll be in heaven's view.
