Once upon a yesterday I walked this road with you
Hand in hand we strolled along
Knowing only that which was true
In another time; another place; bonds of love grew strong
In a world that felt no need to judge
To that which we both belonged?
Today I awoke-groggy and drained
To the sight of a dismal rain
Left only with a fading memory
And a soul so distraught and strained
The wonder of just how you could leave me alone
In this unforgiving place
To perish amongst the rubbish remaining
In the clutching arms of disgrace
Never would I have abandoned you so
To lie beaten of this world's choice
Yet as I scream to the heavens in dead of the night
You shall never hear that voice
Perhaps one day a tomorrow will come
When our paths will once again cross
Until that time I will wander; alone in this hell
In the land of the living lost
