The beauty of baseball is that anymore it seems that there is always a team that can come out of nowhere and put together a wonderful story. Just last season, The Tampa Bay Rays, whom have been a dead last team almost every year but one prior to 2008, pulled off a worst to first turnaround winning the AL East. In fact, they were the ones that went to the World Series for the first time in franchise history though not winning it.
This season could see some teams rise up that haven't been good in years to become potential contenders for the playoffs and of course the respective divisions. Teams right now such as the Toronto Blue Jays have really been the story of the season and so far the Texas Rangers have actually been pretty solid for the most part. Whether it remains that way the rest of the season is another story. Think about it, you expect the same teams to compete every year but sometimes one comes out of nowhere.
Now whether those teams in question do stay that way and make the run to the playoffs would be another story. It is a fact that cannot be denied and something you have to look at. Sometimes your favorite teams do tend to slip a bit whether it is due to injuries or the case of being a bunch of underachievers in general. This is not to name names but just more of a case of stating an example and nothing more.
Sometimes there is the unpredictable element, which goes back to the first point about any team coming along surprising everyone. It seems to be a theme and also can have a very tight race until maybe the final week of the season to determine a division winner. Unless things change in a hurry, the AL Central may be the one division that could very well have that fortune.
Ultimately it really comes down to how each person performs year after year. Rookies that do get off to hot starts can be asked if they can continue for another once the Major Leagues has seen him pitch because of adjustments. It is a game where it is unpredictable in the sense of individual performance and that is true.
Playoff baseball can be exciting if a series does last a while. Sometimes they are easy to predict and other times not so much. When it comes to teams making the playoffs, it is certain that it can either be really competitive
There are just so many moments but also the most beautiful thing in baseball is sometimes actually going to the stadium to have a live experience. Fans can come along but mostly will do so when there is a winner unless an extreme event happens where there will be unquestioned loyalty to a team no matter whether the team is good or horrific.
