The haters on the left would hate George W. Bush and those who support him just as much if 'Scooter' Libby had never been born. The deeds of Libby prove that Bush is corrupt, we are told.

But the deeds of Bill Clinton were not taken as proof that Bill Clinton had any shortcomings. His flagrant adultery, his paving the way for the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by ignoring the attack on the USS Cole, his support for the killing of the unborn and the disabled, including his policy of requiring that Medicare patients be given the chance to sign a Living Will (created by the Euthanasia Society) to reduce health care costs, none of these things are allowed to reflect negatively on Clinton. He's even being allowed to run for a third term via his co-president, Hillary.

Libby's trial, no matter how it turns out, will make no difference to the Bush administration. The haters will continue to hate unabated. The only thing Bush could do to change things would be to bomb Israel, promote abortions, and renounce his faith. Not going to happen.
