College pranks

Now that I am entering my third year of college, I have witnessed and participated in my fair share of college pranks. The first three pranks that I witnessed during my college career was on April 1, 2008. I was walking back to my dorm after a grueling day filled with classes, when I noticed a sign on the outside of the door. On the sign it had a picture of my friend Dave sleeping, and underneath it, it said, "Shhh. This is a quiet study dorm. Please be curteous of those trying to sleep, like Dave". The picture really put the icing on the cake for me, as it was complete with messy hair, drool, and no shirt. I'm not exactly sure when Dan, the prankster had gotten the picture of him, but it was an epic capture. When I entered the dorm, the walls were plastered with these posters.

I was about to head upstairs when something in the common room caught my eye. I turned the corner, and there in the common room were two dorm beds set up, completely made and complete with a book on one, and a reading next to another. Dan struck again. As I began the ascent to my room, I heard a great deal of commotion coming from the third floor. I ran up the stairs to find Dan and his roommate Alex busting through a pile of bed frames and mattresses. Dave and Peter, the two whom the beds (and the picture) belonged to had barricaded them in their room.

This year, we decided to make April a month of pranks, though some of them were pretty harmless and even childish. One that my roommate and I did lasted the entire month. We found out that we could get into our friend's room when they weren't there by climbing up the fire escape and crawling through their unlocked window. This opened up a range of opportunitiesin which everyone took part . We decided to take it easy with our prank, so little by little we began taking things from their room - it started with a pirate flag, which we hung from our bed, a few posters, with which we decorated our walls, and even the "Champagne Room" sign that Dave had hanging above their TV room. After a while they began to notice that things were missing, so they began leaving notes on our door that this meant war. Now, while we are in our dorm, we typically leave the door unlocked, so it gave the guys plenty of opportunity to start taking objects from our room as well, so it backfired a bit, but it was fun nonetheless.

Some other pranks that were pulled were filling the hallway with dixie cups filled with water so we couldn't leave the third floor until
