Poetry: About friendship

Friendship Lost and Found

We met
years ago
laughed like kids
as we blasted strange music
from the car's CD player
and watched the other drivers
roll their eyes and point to us
we danced to a different drummer
with our friends
then drifted apart
for years
she went her way and I went mine
years later we met again
by accident
and found that we were still the same
just a little older
now we're friends forever
never to lose that special bond
we will always dance together
to a different drummer.
