To make a million in a year is a great challenge to set yourself. A year is not very long in terms of money making, and it is not easy to prosper during a time of economic recession, but this should not stop you from trying. If you have the attitude and insight to succeed, there is no reason not to try.

It is normal for a new business to take up to two years before going into profit. To make a million in a year you need work that pays a high amount of commission, or an enterprise that generates a quick profit.

The Preparation

You can work from home if you intend trading online or setting up a profitable enterprise on the Internet, but working alone you need to have good inside knowledge before you start. If you are going to register with a site where you intend to turn a quick profit from share dealing or currency trading, you really need to know what you are doing.

You may need to relocate to another area where there is more demand for what you have in mind. Do your research before you start.

Making money, particularly large amounts of money, requires some capital. You will need money to fund your business, and should have enough to provide you with all your basic needs until you start to profit financially.

Make sure that any money you borrow can be paid back. If you are investing heavily, be certain it is money you can afford to lose.

The Attitude

You will need to make a full commitment to your new enterprise. You will become totally involved in your money making activities. There will be no time for vacations. Your family will see little of you. There will be few days off, and you will have to work long hours each day.

You can only be certain of success by maintaining a positive attitude. You must have confidence in your abilities, be prepared to overcome any difficulties, and never allow disappointment to stand in your way.

The Challenge

You may want to make a million in a year, but this is more of a challenge than an achievable goal. You can certainly aim high and believe in yourself, but the reality is that few individuals have ever made so much money in so short a time.

Once your endeavors start to show a profit, keep your challenge in mind and focus on increasing those profits. Build on each success and deal with any disappointments or disasters as part of the learning process.

Many may dream of making a million within a short time, and there is obviously no easy and certain way to do this within a year. You can set out to make a million in a year, but it is only possible to achieve if you are well prepared and start with the right attitude.
