Not only is it normal for a parent to worry about what goes on when there child is in the care of a babysitter, it's completely understandable and acceptable for a parent to implement the use of a nanny-cam for their child's safety and their own piece of mind. Nanny-cams are a parent's best friend, and there are many benefits to owning one.

As much as you may think you know your babysitter, you can't know them like the back of your hand. It's just not possible. There's absolutely no way of knowing everything that happens when you're not there or how your babysitter would react to a certain situation. A nanny cam can give you a set of eyes you wouldn't otherwise have. Another benefit to having a nanny cam is it can also serve as an additional babysitter.

Depending on how old your child is, the babysitter may no always be in the same room with them. A nanny cam can help keep an eye on what your child is doing. Just as you can't know your sitter completely, you can't know your child either. It can also resolve issues that arise when your child says one thing happened and your babysitter states another.

It may sound far fetched, but there are some children who take a strong dislike to a babysitter, and will say the sitter did something wrong just to make you get rid of them. A nanny cam may be just the thing needed to set the record straight. More important than anything, however, is the fact that a nanny cam may be the only thing that can save your child the trauma of being abused, both mentally and physically.

As unfortunate as it is, there are some child care providers who have no love or patience for children. As such, they verbally and physically abuse the children they are supposed to be caring for by insulting them, yelling at them, or slapping, pushing, or handling them in a rough manner. A nanny cam could capture this sort of mistreatment, making you aware that it is going on, and in turn you can save your child (and probably others if you contact authorities) from this sort of abuse.

Business owners all over the world use surveillance cameras in order to protect their goods and wares from would-be theifs and other miscreants. Governments use surveillance equipment to protect the safety of it's citizens. Is protecting a child from suffering abuse at the hands of some twisted individual any less important?

There's no arguing that a nanny cam isworth it's weight in gold.
