ENTRANCED

I looked into his eyes-

I couldn't look away...

Forever is how long I wanted to stay

locked in his arms

without being harmed.

But alas,

it couldn't last

because every time he leaves

I feel a sting

in the bottom of my heart,

or rather, the empty part

in my chest where a heart used to be.

The reason it's no longer there to see

is because while I was wishing he was mine,

as he looked into my eyes,

he took hold

and stole

my fragile heart, or what little bit

there was that wasn't broken, without even knowing it...
