Shawtie took another bite of her sloppy Joe. She paused to the sound of her dad coming in the house. She suddenly dropped her food, and ran up the stairs. She tried to keep calm on her way to her mother's bedroom door. Not successful Shawtie pounded on it.
"Mama, he's home!" She shouted frantically. Her mother unlocked the door in a hurry, pulling Shawtie inside the room. After shutting and locking the wooden bedroom door they sprawled up in Shawtie's mother's closet.
"Open up the damn door, Neicee." There was no answer.
"I know you're in there. I won't be a menace and hurt you with my lethal weapon." Shawtie's father said, laughing to himself having used those words. All of a sudden Neicee unlocked and opened the door. What a stupid choice, Shawtie said only in thought. Neicee thought she'd done the right thing by capitulating, only to have her husband pin her to the left wall.

Summary
Neicee thought she'd done the right thing by capitulating, only to have her husband pin her to the left wall.
She cried out! He choked her so hard; his hands turned red and her face began to lose its light brown color.
"Stop. Please." Neicee muttered yet it sounded like "tap, squeeze." The father known as Nicholes threw her on the bed. Unzipping his pants he tried rape his own wife! However he was stopped by Shawtie jumping on his back. Nicholes threw her off and got on his knees and began to punch her. Such power, such rage! They both could tell her was clearly drunk.
Nicholes began to slap, and choke her. Shawtie tried to defend herself by yelling "Mama, help! Daddy, please. Stop!"
Still no use of her mother, or a budge in her father, so she went to God and did a silent prayer:
Lord hear me,
Lord help me,
Lord save me,
Lord bless me; let me survive. I know this is selfish to ask of you lord, but it is a hard task to handle on my own.
Bless me to make it threw this moment, and slide out of this torment.
Suddenly it went black and Shawtie didn't see anything.

Suddenly it went black and Shawtie didn't see anything.
Shawtie woke up in a hospital bed, all bandaged up. She vaguely remembered what happened.
Nicholes continued abusing his daughter who was crying profusely and begging futilely for it to stop. Every time he looked back Shawtie's mother acted like she had passed out. About the third time he did she was gone, all he heard was three numbers dialing (who was she calling). By the time he was down the stairs Neicee had a glass bottle in her hand with left over spoiled milk in it. She broke it on the top of his head. He dropped out cold and was later sentenced to many years of prison for more than just this offense.
Shawtie has been in the hospital for five days, due to her concussion. This was a happy time for her nonetheless. And what was even better about it was she didn't remember anything that happened except for the prayer and god. Indeed he had been in the many waters of her tears.
