Poetry: Summer

by Katherine Hawley

Created on: June 11, 2009

Sun is coming up at the beginning of a perfect day,

no worries, just slipping away down the water slide,

tick tick, time is walking away,

but the dog is chasing the kite,

and the baby is starting to get up on his feet,

laughter laughter, don't stop the laughter,

it's the perfect moment for him and her,

and everyone else whose spending this summer,

hot it's hot, but with you and me, we'll keep it cool,

there's no need to fuss when the fun's just begun!
