Who Created the iPhone Bible?

The iPhone Bible is created by Israel Anderson. He is also the creator of God's iPod, the Christian Podcasts site. He is called by God as a missionary not just to the 3rd world, but to the religious. I receive no salary from anyone, and I am not permitted to work in the USA as he are a New Zealand citizen. Instead, like Paul, he is supported by those who feel that what I am doing is important enough to the Kingdom of God that they have chosen to support my financial needs. As someone that is at the forefront of using technology to build the Kingdom, him support needs tend to be higher than other missionaries, yet God always richly provides out of His abundance, and he praise Him for it!

God's iPhone does not cost a lot to host, so he don't need millions of dollars, but he have, and am still, putting an enormous amount of man hours into getting this project finished, and he want to do much more with this site.

Some people are very turned off by others asking for money, and it is something he still struggle with doing. The reality is we live in a world where money and ministry often clash. There are many though who would love to support me, yet they don't because they do not know there is a need. I am simply making that need known. Please do not be compelled to give out of necessity, but out of a spirit of generosity. Please pray asking God how much He would have you give.

Just a few days ago Apple announced the 3G iPhone. The new phone is faster, thinner, has GPS, and is a lot less expensive. Those are all great things, but one of the best things announced is the ability for the iPhone to run custom applications which will allow thousands of developers to create new ways to use your phone. These applications and the new phone will be launching worldwide on July 11th.

We love to leverage new technology to extend the Gospel, and the iPhone's rapid growth around the world as made it a great tool to use for that purpose. Sowe've developed a YouVersion.com iPhone application that will allow you to read, interact with, and search the Bible in multiple translations (for free of course). It will have many of the features of the mobile version of YouVersion, but will be a much, much better experience for iPhone users. The future possibilities of what this app and others could do are significant.
