Yes, you read this statement correctly, "Why bad things always happen to good people". Who are good people? What are the characteristics of these good people? And, why it's happened?
Good people are humble, kind, patience, compassionate, respect, honest and trustworthy. Those are the good characteristics of good people. The list won't stop here. The question is; why by having such of good traits, good people have to suffer and bad things happen to them?
People are born with many differences and have unique traits or characteristics. But; it's not an easy to judge people's characteristic according to external appearance. Just like, we cannot judge a book by its cover.
Let's us analyze some of the good traits that attached dearly to the heart and soul of good people; and how these characteristics would be related to all the bad things that might happen to them.
Humble.
This refers to people who refuse to boast about what they are going to do (planning) and what had they done (achievement). It's a good characteristic; but others would perceive this person as someone who does not do anything, no sense of urgency and an inactive employee. In real working life, we have to 'sell' ourselves, but good people failed to sell themselves in the organization. By just merely looking at the physical appearance, management could receive a 'different' feedback .Remember, people have to survive in an office politics; and reality; not all people are good. There are many opportunists in any organization. These opportunists would always love to work with good people especially when dealing with an assigned project. They knew, good people could do a better job but they could claim the credits. What would happen to the good people? Too bad, they don't speak up and too bad; they've missed the opportunity to prove their talents especially if related to a group assignment.
Kindness
They always are very kind to offer help and assist others. This characteristic is genuinely attached in their soul. Sometimes, this characteristic can back fire them, especially when related to their job. Good people sometimes may blindly volunteer to assist their co-worker in completing their job. They are too kind and have empathy to their co-worker who at that moment seems to be very busy. They hope by lending their hands, their friend could complete the other more urgent task and met the deadline.
