A PLAYER'S HEART (My Love Sonnet)
My perfect match was only perfect then.
Your loving face was pleasant to the eye.
But now, I'm on to other, better men,
So now I think of you with just a sigh.
I think back on the times I broke your heart.
I jerked it from you with my viscous claws.
Your heart and mine are now so far apart.
I wish I never saw those simple flaws.
It's sad, I know, I wish it could just change.
I feel much sorrow from this tragedy.
But, there is nothing I could now arrange.
Our happiness should have a simple key.
My love for you will never be the same.
I'm sorry that you played my little game.

he hurt her so bad
when he walked
