Poetry: Frustration

by Phoebe Howell

Created on: June 11, 2009   Last Updated: May 21, 2011

In the shadows where I sit
the riot that is my soul hammers against my chest.
I see your face before me
I feel your hands.
I look
knowing I'll see your smile
and stumble into nothingness.
When I close my eyes,
I can feel your laughter.
I banish you, but still
you linger.
Making me long for what could never be.
Never doubt that not one minute passes
where something in you, touches something in me.
Make me believe.
