Home Businesses that Don't Require Computers

What? You don't have a computer in today's day and age? Are you kidding? Don't you know that computer's help you in more ways than you can think of, and all you need to do is discover how much easier your life can be if you learn how to use them. So how are you going to do that? Through trial and error of course, the same way you will make money from home if you choose not to invest in computer technology.

Computers are one way of making money from home, but they are definitely not the only way to do it. In fact, they can be absolutely cumbersome if you use them to organize items for your garage sale. That's right! You can gather your unneeded items, sort them by type, tag them with a handwritten price, put them on your driveway, and sell them to whoever chooses to buy them. The best part is that you don't need a computer to do it.

Garage sales have been supplementing people's income for decades, and because they have a reputation for being successful, many people have determined that hosting them is better than getting a part time second job. If you decide to count on regular income from garage sales, there are a few things you should know.

As expected, you will get out of it what you put into it. You can present your items neatly and charge more for them, or you can throw them in a pile for buyers to rummage through them. Your presentation will affect the attitude of those willing to purchase, and they will do their best to get a good bargain.

As you get to know your frequent customers, you might jot down some notes. How many kids are dragged along on the never ending bargain hunt? Would it be possible to offer babysitting services from the comfort of your own home? Of course it would, and you can use your garage sale to advertise child care services, generating more customer leads.

But hey, if selling used items or watching other people's kids doesn't sound appealing, you can always start a crafting or cooking business. Do you spend countless hours making crafts while watching television? Why not get to know your local merchants, and ask them to sell your goods on consignment? Perhaps you have a unique bread recipe that everyone always asks you to make. Offer samples to local businesses, and tell them you'll be back in a few days to collect their orders.

No one has to have a computer to make money from home. All you need is the desire, and to decide how you want to go about it. Then you can outline a plan and follow your steps to completion. After that, it's up to you to serve your customers, remembering to use only the best business know how. Your customers will do the rest, as they tell all their friends about you, increasing your business through word of mouth. You'll just need to keep doing what you do best, and that is to follow your dream all the way to the bank.
