It is my belief that God is our Father. In saying that, a loving parent will not always agree with everything we do.However, he or she does have the option to let us learn from our mistakes. We are given the choices for growth and we are held accountable for any negative impact we impose on ourselves or others. Evil is a choice we make, love is a choice. For every decision there is an outcome. I have a driver's license.
I am given free will to drive, but if I choose to drink irresponsibly and hurt someone, I am held accountable. I do not feel that we are controlled, I feel that we have responsibilities to uphold as children of God. I feel that we're given so many freedoms and it is up to us as His children to fulfill the responsibilities in return. Again, it's all a choice, free will to make the best of our life and others as we can. For myself, I believe strongly in the Bible and there are many laws within the Book I try to abide on a daily basis. Though I do believe that he is a very forgiving God no matter what, I also realize He is my Father who expects accountability.
Responsible accountability will only happen when one has asked for forgiveness recognizing the fault, punishment occurs from one with no remorse and or knowingly commits a sin without a thought for seeking forgiveness. God is our Father, our judge, law enforcer. He loves us enough to give opportunities of freedom, but we are given knowledge and wisdom to discern between what is right and wrong. It is a freedom to be evil, it is not a freedom to be successful at it! With every denomination, there is one core belief and that is honoring our Father and living the best we can for ourselves and others. With all the privileges we have, why wouldn't we want to obey to the best of our ability? Why should one want to abuse drugs, hurt others in various ways, even kill? There are too many things, people , and places to appreciate now on Earth. Why waste time on the negatives?
For myself, I know I am not perfect, no one is. My goal is to live the best I can because I have a strong appreciation of all life and my belief of the One who created me ! Unfortunately, evil lurks in many crevices of the Earth. Evil is not bias as to who it hurts or even who is shadows. This is either a choice or could even be a demon influence. Whatever the case, it will always exist and I am thankful that we have a God to determine the guilty while honoring those who honor him.
