If you have a talent, skill, desire or ability to do something that gives you a feeling of worth or happiness, develop that dream. Make it belong to you like you own it. Mold it the way you want it to be molded. Perfect it to nourish it like you feed your body to keep it healthy. Love it, protect it, carry it everywhere you go. That is how a writer is with his/her talent.
Mike Peters, the Pulitzer Prize Cartoonist, once said in an interview, ""My teachers had told me I'd never amount to anything in life, because I wasted all my time doodling in school." He went on to say, "I doodled my way to becoming rich and famous." Sometimes the very people who are expected to realize and encourage your abilities, talents, and skills, do not always have the insight to know what you are feeling, or what you want in life.
