Poetry: My inner struggle

by Kloulessblond

Created on: June 10, 2009

see the me i try to hide

scared inside

wishing you could call to say hello

when you do out of the blue

i play cool and distant

so resistant

mind spins instantly at your voice

playing how i could've said all it instead

a look you gave me last night

left me like this

aimless breathless speechless

humming love songs going home

hoping like the fools before

far too many times a day i wonder

angel fast asleep or devil who i pull too close

tripped and fell on clumsy lack of words

crashed hard into broken wall of me

but can you see behind it
