Poetry: Broken heart

by Lucy Edington

Created on: June 09, 2009

Did it prickle when you broke my heart?

Did splinters dig in deep?

And wedge themselves in places which

Your tweezers cannot reach?

Carry those sharp shards around

And don't forget your crime;

For somewhere in the universe

I hemorrhage over mine.
