Poetry: The week

by Simon Wright

Created on: June 08, 2009

A romantic week

He brought her flowers on Sunday,

She kissed him on top of his head.

So he brought her more flowers on Monday,

She said she wanted chocolates instead.

-

She made him a pie on Tuesday,

He ate it with hardly a word.

So she didn't make him pie on Wednesday,

It was then that his protests were heard.

-

They sat in silence on Thursday,

Then made love upon the floor.

They woke in an embrace on Friday,

And he made a wild bolt for the door.

-

They did their own thing on Saturday,

She seethed and he moped in despair.

So he bought her flowers on Sunday,

And they started anew from there.
