Poetry: Last wish

by Gresilda McDermott

Created on: June 08, 2009   Last Updated: January 07, 2012

My last wish is
to see a new world exist
where the meaning of freedom is really true
where people respect each
and accept their choices in life
no matter what religion, race, sexuality
they choose to be
just a little respect and dignity
where we all just get along
working together to create
real peace and care for
our earth and when we
wake at the dawn of each
new day we are greeted by
smiles and there exist no wars
and disease is gone
my last wish could
really come true if
we truly tried to mend
the anger and strife
replacing it with positive life
