What does the following title mean? The best club soccer teams in Europe?

Obviously the question was penned by a citizen of the US of A, any European would simply ask 'who is the best club in Europe' or 'who are the best team?'

And the answer to that question is always subject to fierce debate, the most credible answer currently, would have to Football Club Barcelona, the most recent winners of the Champions League, winners of La Liga in Spain and the first team in history to also be winners of the Copa Del Rey, (Kings Cup), the Spanish equivalent of the FA cup in England, at the same time.

No Spanish Team has ever won the triple until now and so therefore they must be considered to be the best team in Europe currently.

The football they have played this season has been outstanding and a joy to watch for soccer fans throughout the world and if one considers that this is Pep Guardiolas first season in charge as manger what can the future hold?

The winners of the English Premier League, Manchester United were unceremoniously swept aside after the initial 10 minutes by the magnificent Barcelona midfield, with Iniesta and Xabi dominating the game.

It is often said that the English Premier League is the best in the world, but for a football purist La Liga in Spain does provide some wonderful spectacular football.

Coming back to the original title of this article it is plural Teams, therefore we should address that.

Who are the best teams in Europe, well each fan would no doubt claim his own, but the Big Four in England, Liverpool, Manchester Untited, Arsenal and Chelsea, would all claim to be up there with the best, alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid from Spain, in Italy, Inter & AC Milan along with Juve could be considered to be challengers and with Bayern Munich from Germany and Paris St. Germain and Lyon in France, we have a list of some of the biggest clubs on the continent.

But they are the best? In my opinion no the best European team is the team that wins the Champions League, this season Barcelona, the best team in England is Manchester United because they won the League, but the best team from my home city Manchester is...Manchester City, because the red team that bears the name Manchester don't even reside within the City limits; they are in a suburb called Trafford!

And that is the point every single true fan would claim that their team is the best, the best in all the land and all the World!
