Find It !
Detective Scott Paoli bounded his way down the gray concrete flight of steps leading to the parking lot. It was early Saturday morning and the first rays of sunlight were appearing over the horizon. Buoying his excitement was today's eagerly anticipated rendezvous with Barbara.
Scott knew she would be waiting for him at the park. Jumping into the recently polished red Corvette he guided the vehicle smoothly out of the lot into the quiet morning streets of the bustling metropolis. Racing down the almost empty freeway he put the pedal to the metal ignoring the speed limit, the radio reverberating the sound of Golden Earring's classic Radar Love.
Arriving at the park he followed the directional signs leading him to the Northeast corner of the vast expanse of greenery known as the Meadowlands. While he had heard many stories of his heroism, Paoli's only memories of his father were the many pictures and letters kept by his mom who had 3 weeks ago lost her long painful battle with pancreatic cancer.
Being an adopted only child Paoli knew that the responsibility to begin the tedious process of organizing the myriad of papers representing the assets of the estate rested upon his shoulders. While thirteen years on the police force had numbed him to most pain, seeing his mom's once strong persona deteriorate, especially during the last few months, had chafed hard at his psyche. He knew the time had come to begin a new chapter in life. I guess tomorrow would be a good day to go up to her house and commence the litigation process he thought resignedly to himself as he approached the gigantic magic carpet on wheels.
Stopping for a second he felt the chilling wind rush by his face, Sgt. Fishbourne flung open the door of the motor home. Scott approached extending his hand embracing his friend of many years with a compassionate
