If you have not flown within a commercial airliner after the World Trade Center was destroyed by an Arab Terrorist attack you are in for a mighty big surprise. If you smoke you will not be able to light-up in flight. It is also likely that you will not be allowed to carry a lighter on your person or some other items that you always carry with you.

Those being, bottled water, pocket knife and/or pen knife, other bottled liquids that are suspicious in nature and even items of wearing apparel and/or gadgets on your key chain or in your pocket that might be used as some kind of weapon. Those security people within our airports are truly doing the best that they can to catch those people who seek to cause harm to commercial aircraft and the people within those aircraft.

So, if are taking a vacation that requires you to fly aboard a commercial airliner get as many instructions as you can from the travel agent and/or the commercial carries as you can before you do go to the airport.

To arrive about an hour before your scheduled departure time is a wise thing to do. Check in and get your boarding pass as soon as possible and do not take carry on luggage with you into the airplane. Check it all at the time when you receive your boarding pass and then hope for the best.

If you look like an Arab or you have an Arab sounding name you could be in for an additional headache. Like it or not, you could also be stripped searched, just because you want to fly aboard a commercial airliner. The x-ray process and any other embarrassment that you might suffer will take a considerable amount of time. You might even miss your flight.

Then again, a real Arab Terrorist could get on that plane a blow you and a whole lot of other people into the hereafter. It should go without saying that if you travel outside of the United States of America your passport should be in force for your entire stay outside of the Country. You should also take with you as little as possible because most commercial airline companies will charge extra for every item of luggage that you take with you.

Yes there is a whole lot to learn about how to fly, these days, from one place to another aboard a commercial airliner. Learn as much as you can and in the end you might decide not to fly to that vacation destination or even forget about leaving the comfort of your home and your neighborhood for an extended period of time.

According to our elected politicians, Arab Terrorists are everywhere or would those politicians rather have you stay close to home? You guess is as good as mine but a stranger is not going to strip search me for any reason because I am not a criminal, nor do I deserve to be treated as such.
