Poetry: Careless

by Steve Marshall

Created on: June 08, 2009

I was careless today,
in every which way,
as I moved all around,
without actually really ever thinking.

My soul then winked at me,
your being careless I see.
Try living from me,
to be all that you can ever be.

My forgotten awareness,
being left unnoticed unseen,
showed me where I,
should have really have been.

It takes a careless act,
to react to the ungrasped fact.
I am not really so careless,
only love is missing, now lacked.

My soul reminds, your not so careless,
your compareless,
so unique and so free.
Holding onto life uniquely is your guarantee.

Carelessness is only restlessness,
not being addressed, but possessed.
Love right now today, today today.
Never borrow tomorrow today to impress.

Carelessness is taking your mind all away,
relinquishing its own full power,
that love assists to flower in display when,
love's not carelessly left out there to decay.
