Poetry: The void

by Lucy Edington

Created on: June 08, 2009

Avoid the void

She eats you up

And pens your poems

Without you.

The void she comes

On cushioned feet

Sneaks behind

Scaring the soul.

-

Avoid the void

A pure drug

Hallucinogen

Acidic buzz.

She weaves a web

Entangles thought

Topsy-turvy

Twisted dance.

-

Beautiful stranger

Captives walk

Back to their homes

Much braver;

Wearing white

Demonic ruse

She'll never be

Your saviour.
