Christian thoughts on the power of healing

We can stand on God's word with the power of healing provided in the atonement, by exercising our faith to deny the reality of sickness, and take matters in our own hand to challenge the physical law governing health. By understanding the concept of the power in healing outside the framework of science, we place ourselves in the position of positive faith belief.

If believers are living by faith, just as individuals are saved by faith, God will heal them if they are sick, which begs the question, should a Christian be continually been physically sick? Or have anything wrong with them? If it's not the will of God for anyone to perish, then he must provide some other means of escape from the ravages of this virus infected world.

Jeremiah 8:22 "Is there no balm in Gilead, is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people? `Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth."

Historically, the issue is said to be based upon a Christian belief going back to the Old Testament period, and of course leading up to the time of popularity, when Christ was ministering on earth. His disciples witness the healing of different aliments taking place in the realm of physical manifestation. People that were lame began to walk, the deft was made to hear, and the blind receive their sight, and the crocked made straight through the mighty power of healing.

As news of this fascination began to spread rapidly, larger crowds would throng Jesus wherever he went, those who were sick came to see him with one purpose in mind, that was for them to get healed, Jesus not only healed those who came to him, he also restored missing body parts, and gave individuals hope and a reason to live, through the power of healing, he ministered to their needs rather than their wants.

Christ was not a charlatan, he did not ask for payment upfront, the healing virtue went freely out of him to all and sundry, including beggars, the rich, the poor, those who were helpless in helping themselves, became the precipitants of the dynamic attributes of God, he heal them all and afterwards bore their sins upon the cross of Calvary for the redemption of the soul.

Healing was never intended to be a business, but in today's corporate world so fiercely driven by finance, the concept of healing without implementing cost has completely vanished, because there are many different
