Luck, I have discovered, is, quite unfortunately, not random. It chooses who it likes and sticks with them for long periods of time, while ignoring others who may or may not crave it intensely. Such is the case in my life. Don't believe me? Fine. I can prove it upon statistical analysis.
For instance, when I visit sunny places during winter break, fleeing my perch in Minnesota, I find that I have accidentally brought the snow with me to my new destination, and upon review, the weather warmed up considerably in my hometown after I left.
6 times now, I have checked the library catalog online to make sure the book I wanted was in before I went to pick it up, only to find once I got there that every other book in the series was on the shelf, and the one I wanted had been checked out 5 minutes earlier.
To clinch the whole thing, I was rolling a die and taking down the numbers I got, just to provide scientific evidence for my apparent unluckiness. I rolled the die 100 times, receiving mainly 1s with a speckle of 2s and precisely one 3. Just when I was beginning to think the die was loaded, my sister came by and rolled 6, 5, 6, 6, 4, 6. I rolled again and got another 1.
If that doesn't prove the whole shebang, I don't know what does.
