Why?

Why do people lie?

Why do people die?

Why do people strive to live,

When we only live to die?

Why do people kill?

Why do people hate?

Why do battered women,

Seek help when its to late?

Why do people cheat?

Why do people steal?

Why do some parents tell their kids,

That their hero's are not real?

Why does it seem like our country is always seeking war?

Why is it called the home of the free,

When people living here, are homeless, hungry and poor?

Why do we feel the need, to protect ourselves with a gun?

And then why do we act surprised when a child shoots someone for fun?

Why even bother, saying, learn and you will grow,

When we fear the things that are unknown and dont care enough to know.
