The standard Republican position in American politics, may be permanently untenable. It appears that we are at or near a point, where half or more of the populace, pays no taxes. Why would people who pay no taxes do anything to lessen the tax burden on the few who continue to pay? On the contrary it is very likely that the majority of the voting populace will continue to vote themselves money from the treasury. The remaining taxpayers won't have the votes required to reduce their taxes.

So conservatives who represent the earners, will be a permanent minority and democrats who represent the recipients of tax money, will become the permanent majority. Moreover, the poor have always had more children than the rich. So the poor will continue to grow in numbers and the relative wealthy, will continue to diminish in numbers. In the long run, such a situation is clearly untenable but for the present, liberal democrats are virtually guaranteed to stay in power. The final nail in the coffin of conservatives, is that the border between Mexico and the US, is virtually an open border for those who are willing to cross illegally. They too will support democrats over republicans.

The liberals may be over playing their hand. The only difference between socialists and liberal democrats, is that socialists are honest about what they believe. We do not have a tradition in America of "social democrats." Liberals are tempted to spring the Marxist trap before the 2012 elections, but the real world does not move as fast they might desire.

Communists have long plotted and planned to destroy capitalism by force of arms or superior thought or propaganda. But it turns out that communists were actually pretty poor at all those things and that capitalists could always out spend them at every turn. Liberal democrats have discovered how to destroy capitalism from the inside and are doing their darnedest to accomplish the destruction before they get caught.

A big problem for the left is that their chief weapon in the destruction of capitalism, namely Global Warming/Climate change, will cost every American; even the poor, more money. When the poor see the government jacking up the price of gas to $4/gallon, the left will be at risk of losing power again. Also, some of the lefts ideas on how to use Climate change are in reality, patently silly. If someone manages to get through to the kids on the social media sites, that taxing everyone for breathing is silly, that too could lead to the down
