The damage done to the American image by George W. Bush, is so extensive, that it will take a monumental effort to fix it. Obama has begun a dialogue with people who consider us an imperial threat to them. We live in the whole of the world and you can't just look at it one way. You have to look at this from their persepctive also. The people from Iran, Syria, Lebanon and others, consider us a real threat to their existence. George W. Bush talked of peace, then spoke of his "Preemptive strike" policy, which meant he could invade or attack anyone whom he 'thought' might present a problem for us. That is an insane policy! That is the policy of a despot, "a brutal dictator"!

Obama wants to change that thinking. Nobody knows what goes on behind the scenes. Anyone who says Obama is giving in to, or appeasing our enemies, has no idea what is taking place behind the scenes. I am certain all protections are still in place for our own security. Some things, such as the Guantanamo fiasco, will be settled in a justifiable manner. Bush created Guantanamo and the scenes of our guards dragging prisoners, who can barely walk, back to their cells, have created an image of torture and cruelty for all the world to see. That isn't us! That isn't the way we want to be! Bush created an anti-Muslim aura about us. He has made so many more enemies for us to deal with. The child of the family and home destroyed in Iraq, will become our enemy! Think of how many of these children has Bush created? And they weren't our enemy!

Bush left Obama with an economy in shambles. Though I disagree with the bank bail-out, I do agree with the auto bail-out. We absolutely, have to save, then create jobs! He has a policy against the abilities of off-shore tax evasions that the rich and famous have created, to avoid doing their rightful duty, by paying taxes like the rest of us have to do! It's about fairness; simple, honest, fairness and it's about time!

I think Obama has gone a long way in shoring up America's image and respect in the world, and that's very important. If we are going to deal honestly, with the world, they need to know we are going to be fair and respectful toward them also. There can be no more Blackwater, Haliburton, KBR, or corruption that Cheney and Bush set up for their cronies.

Yes, Obama is changing America for the better and it's about time we did. We are respected and liked in the world. Everywhere this man has gone, people see him as a good and popular leader, and I think we have regained a great deal of the luster we lost from George W. Bush's regime.
